Pothole map of Victoria
Every defect on the public register, plotted where it was photographed. A pin is a report somebody filed with a photo, a location and a date — not a council work order and not an estimate. Yellow is new, red once a report has been open past 30 days, green once somebody has confirmed the hole is gone.
The blue lines are different, and deliberately so: they are stretches of road that a published source — an RACV road assessment, a newsroom — has said are in poor condition. They are somebody else's citation rather than our evidence, which is why they do not share a colour with a report. Where the hotspots come from.
